How do I know what size to order?

It is important to order the correct size filters. Please review our sizing information here.

How are the filters shipped?

The SealTite Filter is shipped in a shrink-wrapped Convenience Pack of four (4) filters right to your doorstep to provide an annual supply of filters for your system.

Which side should be facing me when I install the filter?

The anti-microbial side is marked with green lettering saying "DOWNSTREAM" and that should go toward the air handler. However, because the coating serves as an anti-microbial, the filter can be inserted with either side out and still be quite effective.

What do we do with filters after they are used?

The SealTite Filter is NOT hazardous waste and can be disposed of through your normal household garbage.

Is this really different from the pleated filters I might find at the grocery store or builders supply outlet?

Yes, the SealTite Filter is significantly different because it will quiet the machine, keep the internal parts of your heating/air conditioning system clean, provide high quality air into your environment, reduce the possibility of growing mold and bacteria and reduce waste going to the landfill.

Where are the SealTite Filters manufactured?

The SealTite Filter is manufactured in the USA and distributed exclusively by Best Living Systems and its distributors.

Will I be able to tell a difference right away?

Customers have rated this filter #1 for performance in all features and benefits discussed on this site.

How long does it take to receive my first order?

Once the order is placed, allow 7 - 10 days to receive your first Convenience Pack. Then, on the anniversary of your first order, you will receive your next shipment shipped directly to your doorstep. It's that easy, that convenient.

What is a "MERV Rating"?

Minimum efficiency reporting value, commonly known as MERV rating, is a measurement scale designed in 1987 by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) to rate the effectiveness of air filters. The scale allows for improved health, reduced cost and energy efficiency in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) design. For example, a HEPA filter is often impractical in central HVAC systems due to the large pressure drop the dense filter material causes. Experiments indicate that less-obstructive, medium-efficiency filters of MERV 7 to 13 are almost as effective as true HEPA filters at removing allergens, with much lower associated system and operating costs.
